Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also popularly referred to as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American performer, actress, singer, comedian and radio host. Her birthplace was in Mexico City and raised by the comedian Raul Vale. Her name is associated with the creation of La Balada Ranchera, a music genre that reached the top of charts in 1973. The genre resulted in Angelica Maria to become the first Latin musician to sell 2 millions of records in the United States. In 1974, she got married to Venezuelan singer/comic Raul Vae with whom she had met in 1974. It was the first Mexican wedding broadcast on television.
